angel Alrighty then...fellow Canadians!!! We have this work week to make it through and we are then going to enjoy the long weekend (well, some of us will) and celebrate our Thanksgiving! So...hows about, everyday this week, each of us post 1 thing we are thankful for, one thing, big or small, for always or just in that moment and time...dancing Because I tend to think that the stressors we are all under and the expectations that are upon us all make it pretty easy to forget that it is all about and all the goodness and joy! BTW, the hokie pokie is NOT what it's all about!!! wink

I'll start...today I am thankful that everyone who I love is okay, just for today purple heart

I'm thankful Mom is still here and have grown to admire even more because of her strength to get through a major operation ... just finishing chemo last week (6 months of it.) and never once feeling sorry for herself but thinking of her foster kids when most would have had them put in other foster homes.

Thankful for the way my Dad did his best to look after my mother in his own way and my Aunt coming from Ireland to help out for 6 months.

I'm thankful for my kids being healthy. (even the dog and cats)
I'm thankful for my fiance who has stepped up to the plate to be a rock for me (and being there for my parents when mom got sick) and treating me with lots of patience and respect.

The twins ... and Mr. M. Will love them forever.

I could make a list miles long ....

I'm thankful that I'll be having thanksgiving with my family again this year. I've never missed a holiday with them yet. Though that will change soon enough. So this means a bit more to me then any other.
( won't be in the country for x-mas )

I am thankful that my father who had a severe stroke in January is still managing to improve. And that my brothers are coming from Ontario to visit him for thanksgiving.

Perserverance and stubborness helps. lol. My dad had a stroke about 8 yrs ago and has improved to the point where he walks without even a cane again and has his drivers license back too. Thoughts are with you and wishes for a full recovery.
Enjoy your thanksgiving!

I have to work....dunno But at least I will be part of the driving force behind the economic engine of the nation and making a tax contribution that will go to services to help us all. However, in reality, it will probably line the the pockets of some politician instead.

Okay, okay. I can be thankful I got called back from my lay off. Happy Thanksgiving Canuks!canada

I have been renovating my main bathroom for the last month and moaning about how long it's taking. I am thankful that I have the good fortune to have a house and the opportunity to renovate anything at all.
I will be looking after my friend, when she gets out of the hospital this weekend, for 6 more weeks of recovery after her last surgery. I will try and make it a special weekend for her as she won't be able to do anything on her own.cheers

Thank you much for your thoughts and encouraging words. My father is nothing if not stubborn, which is now a plus for him. Have a nice thanksgiving yourself, and i appreciate your sharing your fathers recovery.

How about being grateful for all the laughs we get. Geo, Gord and can't forget Brew's jokes. (I am not great at remembering names, so if your name is not mentioned, please do not be insulted. Got turkey on the brain and all the stuff that has to be done before this afternoon.)

Laughingone ...is a hoot!!!... and love the way Eyes comes up with things that causes us to smile and think.
