To all the searchers and the dog "Chance"....what a Christmas miracle that 7 year old James, a little boy with autism was found, barely alive...but alive nonetheless. Let us all give positive thoughts and prayers that this little guy will be out of danger and home for Christmas!
I prayed for that lil one, I'm relieved he's alive What baffles me is, he was missing for like 2days without proper winter gear, its really a miracle he survived the temperatures..I have a feeling his companion kept him aliveThey truely are mans bestfriends
I've read, an seen so many stories where the dogs were the heros. Every household with lil ones should definitely have one for the safety of the lil kiddies

Haven't heard that story here. Have you got a link?
Am interested because My own son is Autistic, about the same age and does wander off sometimes.

How sad...James succumbed to the severe hypothermia...really don't know what to say... But here is the link Libra...http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/capress/091208/national/ns_autistic_boy According to out National News last night - the family had just recently relocated to the Cape Breton area from Calgary and the outpouring of support from the community was overwhelming to them. What a sad ending. But I guess that he was found alive and that they were able to be with him...regardless, my heart goes out to them

Sad, sad sad. No, hopefully they will not be judged. Now that I have kids I can honestly say, "yup, i could see that happening" You never know or can anticipate every situation that will come up with children. You just do your best.

Parenting children is not easy no matter how great the parent(s) are, but try to imagine what it was like for the parents of a child(ren) with autism.
