It's down right apocalyptic: it started with a bit of a flurry of snowflakes around 5am, now it's just freezing sprinkles...there are no 24/7 liquor stores here...and I find the prices as bad as mortgage payments; has no one here ever heard of 'discount liquor stores' where one can find a a fifth of bourbon for about 2 dollars, or a gallon of rum for $3.98!? And they are so small; they should all be the size of a wall mart, at least! The stores here need to drastically drop their prices, we are in a major depressed recession and since the 'great Depression' the price of booze always went down, not up! It's all people have left; to try and drown their sorrows away because they are loosing their SUV's, and million dollar homes for some god's sake! Things here are coming apart...some people are having to live in homes with only 80 to 75 degree temperature! Oh the horror! The horror of it all.... (Went to see the film 2012; 7 people in the theater...there were more car thieves outside prowling around the parking lot areas!) Good movie, btw.... Have a beautiful day!!
Bri was only able to be home 3 hrs between runs last night. Staying home inside out of the cold. Doing some tidying up, have some painting to do if I can get to it. Give the dog some attention, and have a good laugh while the cats torment him.
Green tea and make rice crispie squares ... if you add crushed candy canes to it ... As one client put it, "dey nummy. Taste like tris mas."
Have some movies lined up to watch while wrapping some gifts. Nice lazy day ... what I call a Pajama day. Everyone needs one from time to time.
Sitting in my livingroom watching football and keeping warm... -31C out today...went out last night (-35C)...figured I would just stay in and keep warm today.

Even colder in the outlying areas, and a light dusting of snow to boot.
I might go down to the dungeon and cuddle with my furnace. It may be steely and unloving, but it's warm.

Just a take it easy day for me. Wake up, shower, go to church. Eat, sleep some more. Ohh ya, I have to go outside and feed the livestock. I did sort the 2 year old cows and the bred heifers into their own pen, from the older cows. And than feed all the cattle. Also gave most of them fresh straw to lay on. It's -28 outside now. It sure nice to have a heated tractor cab to the chores in. And it sure nice to have a bale shreader to spread the straw. When you have the proper clothes on, and you keep moving, it is not bad out there.

hi, i'm new to the site. my van started over heating last week for a 20 minute ride. then the starter went. so it took a half hour to get someone to help.i got it towed to fountain tire. they put a new starter in it. before they discovered it needs new head gaskets. sigh. because i'm a woman, they took advantage of me. there is no way they wouldn't have noticed that the oil is leaking. beforeeeeee they put the new starter. sooo 700.00 later, its now towed to my driveway. they want another 3000.00 to fix it. hopeu have a great day. shirley

Blown head gaskets, could be the reason that your van is overheating. To check this yourself, open and remove the radiator cap. When the van is running and warmed up, check to see if there is a lot of air coming out of the radiator. If the coolant is bubbling, than it is a blown head gasket. Find a mechanic that you can trust, (use friends for this). A blown headgasket might be just a sign of a bigger problem. Headgaskets don't usually blow for nothing.
Once you know what it will cost to repair the van. Answer these questions. How old is the van? What is the value of the van? Is the van worth repairing?
If the van is 10 years old, and only worth $2500.00, than you are better selling the van to an auto wreaker, and getting another van.
