Just a quick note to congratulate the gals on a nailbiting awesome win last night. thumbs up I, for one, am very proud of our ladies hockey team. cheering

Hockey Canada...... Lighten up. "Canadianhockeybeer" See!!!! I knew those words all went together. We have beer leagues in Canada for goodness sakes. It wasn't like they were smashed and falling all over the ice and making tools of themselves???? If they were I could see the big uproar, but dunno
Remember who you represent Hockey Canada professor Canadians! canada By and large, a constituancy that enjoys the two together and sees nothing wrong with the ladies have a well deserved celebratory swig after months of being in the pressure cooker and holding up well.

If you don't want them wearing their jerseys while drinking the beer 4 years from now when we take gold again, let us know, we'll call the girls up and tell them to make sure they remove the jerseys and do it in their bras next time. cold buddies cold

You know how it is when you're in the public eye. No matter what you do they'll make sure everyone's aware of your mistakes and of course exaggerate some of your actions to make them look like mistakes. People in the public eye should bear this in mind and avoid as much as possible giving these people something to gossip about; something to start rumors and scandals.

Yeah, what is wrong with having a beer, wearing your hockey jersey and being a girl. Nothing wrong with going out and beating the crap out of some foreign country at hockey and having a beer over it? It's not like we are invading them or something, or teaching their children naughty words...play hockey, drink beer and be a Canadian girl....what else is there? Well maybe being a Canadian guy and drinking a beer of course....

Onlyguy: The bottom line is Canada won two gold medals in this discipline. It wasn't Canadian women won one and Canadian men won one.

Yep, I agree. And all of our athletes whether male, female, black, red, green, blue or yellow with polka dots did us proud. If not for them and their accomplishments, we wouldn't be jumping up and down. It was them that broke the records in gold medals won, not us, but them....all of them.

And for that, I am proud of their achievements as it reflects upon all of us as Canadians. canada

nottoo2525: Don't even need funnels really for bobsledding. Just leave the ice out, fill with beer and float sled down track with mouth open all the way.

Excellent thinking! If you're not busy in 2014 we could sure use an assistant coach/trainer!!

I see we have the makings of a "Gold" medal team here! The problem of "uniforms" is already taken care of,....now its off to Molson's to talk a deal (it might take more than a couple of two/fours to fill the track I'm thinking)!!!
