Oh, dear God...cannot imagine; don't want to even try. Just hope that this little tot is found alive and well...and that all those searching for him are kept safe. What a horrific event.

We left at 7 am.....so far sadly,no news.

This is terrible, i hope they find that young lad soon, i would not even want to think about the parents, and their grief,almost too much to take,will keep him in our prayers
His hat was found 4 kms down river.
Official search suspended on Fri because of the state of the river.

Oh my Good God I can only pray that this child is safe and will be returned home to his parents. My heart goes out to the friends and family. Don't ever give up on HOPE and keep praying.
...so far his 2 boots and hat have been found....search is mostly continued by volunteers...divers,boats and walking along the river.
The police have been using a manikin to try and get someidea of where the body may be.

20 days and still nothing but boots and a hat? I hate hearing this. I have a teenage son and daughter. If that had happened to one of them I would want to die.

Agree. Bad enough but not knowing for sure makes it unbearable.
Thinking of the family.....
The police are now moving their search to a 25 km stretch of river,believing that the current has carried him further down....helicopter still here and one lonely cop car and that only because the father went to the press...........
I won't let my daughter(10yrs) walk the river with me anymore until he's been found even though she wants to continue helping with the search.....bad enough for an adult to come across something,unacceptable for a child even though she did help with the official search when it started.
I can only pray to never be in the same situation as Nicolas' family.

I hope the family will be able to ... not sure if this is the right word, heal/forgive ... but when something like this happens there are feelings of guilt, even blame. I hope for Nicolas's family they can survive emotionally, mentally, and physicially. This family has been through hell, and I hope they will be able to get through this.

Oh my dear I am so very very sorry for the family a death of a child is unbearable.They are in my prayers.
Just want to thank everyone for their prayers,thoughts and kind words The funeral service was held last Saturday...he's a rest now.
