wave Just had a thought that we could share some of our meal ideas; what's in the plans; special recipes; etc. Just to help inspire us all. I am usually so flipping wiped, hardly can think of what to cook. Have a pressure cooker and a slocooker - sometimes just need a idea, quick, easy and cheap (scold not a word, boys LOL)
Tonight I am making chicken taco salad and corn on the cob...pretty simple! And, am so excited, just got my order of Epicure spices....yummers!!!
What say ya'all...wine

i only get out the recipes on the weekend, when i have time,i have a great meatloaf recipe,my other meatloaf one was too dry, this one has milk in it,i said what!!!! and oh yes, it has a glaze on it,i sometimes prefer it to a steak?,and a recipe for chicken, that's all just natural stuff that i normally have, it has parmesan cheese in it, mmmm oh boy it's good, also select rice/ chicken flavour, fry up some red peppers and onions, maybe mushrooms and throw it in, when the rice gets cooked??, that's about the quickest one!but that's just a side....applause

Okay, here goes. I did this today with my slow cooker. I bought a roast, a turnip, 3 potatoes, a big onion, had some garlic cloves in the fridge, some mushrooms and I tossed them all into the slow cooker. Added about half a cup of water...well maybe a 1/4 cup. I added a bit of salt, some pepper, some store bought herbs, seasoned salt and I let it all cook for about 5 hours and when it was done, I poured out all the juice, made gravy. And sat down to what was a very good meal, easy, no fuss, no muss and I only had to peel the turnip, onion and cut the ends off the mushrooms. And (are you ready) BAZINGA!!!...bob's yer uncle.

And it isn't even a recipe. Can you believe it?
