I have gone through so many dating sites, those which don't ask for a credit card anyways, and always seem to find losers, jerks, abusers and those that will take you for everything and then drop you when something better comes along.
So I guess I am putting myself out there and trying these sites one last time.
Why do men run when they hear the word Kid(s)
It's not like all women expect you to play daddy!

Come on now. I'm trying openly and honestly and seem to get really nowhere!

Same here basically. You have to see profiles as commercials, of which, most are misleading and do not represent the true 'product'
Shame you can't sue for misrepresentation or false advertising as you could if some of the profiles would appear in actual print like in a newspaper or on TV. As far as I know, no one has yet, at any rate...
And yes, most males would and do think that you want them to play 'daddy'; that is too much responsibility and for children not even their own, for which, I personally doubt that they'd be there for anyway...it's an old cliche just like women are only interested in the amount of money a man has...that she can get...pathetic.
Good luck and my sympathies are with you...

You won't find reality in most places, but you also have to have realistic expectations. If you want to find prince charming ... watch a Disney movie or read a fairy tale. Same goes for that Princess ...

If you want someone that matches your exact expectations, have yourself cloned. You also have to remember when you write your post are you writing what you hope others will see ( what you want to be) or are you actually writing the truth?

Expect someone who is real, warts and all. If you are so busy looking up in the clouds, you might miss the person who is a great partner for you.

Being on line, allows people to pretend to be who they are not.

When I met Eyes and Gordo, they were who they said they were. Just like me, they have a history, warts and all.

Use common sense ... if they have lots of money, travel the world, etc., what are they doing on a FREE dating site? If you see a red flag or something does not feel right, it's not a good thing. Many on here have been burned, and use the same behaviors to keep people from getting too close and allowing themselves to find a partner, friend etc.

Soul mate ... isn't that a phrase someone made up and now it's the in thing everyone talks about. They want their soul mate. How about the right partner for them, and you look for the partner you are right for?

Suggestion ... Be happy with yourself and then you might find someone.

I have lots of charming movies, some about Princesses and some about Princes. And some on dragons and stuff. Even a couple of sword movies.

Expect someone who is real, warts and all. If you are so busy looking up in the clouds, you might miss the person who is a great partner for you.

I gaze at clouds...I saw a horses head the other day...and a rabbit a couple of days before that. Then of course I keep getting these black clouds hanging over me...

I'm Spanish.

When I met Eyes and Gordo, they were who they said they were. Just like me, they have a history, warts and all.

Love history. Warts, no problem. Those puppies can be burned off by crushing an Aspirin and mixing it with a tiny bit of water. Then spread it on the wart...burns those puppies off in no time.

Use common sense ... if they have lots of money, travel the world, etc., what are they doing on a FREE dating site?

I use common sense. Common dollars too. But money, I don't have any and I can't travel cause I don't have money. So I come on free dating sites looking for free stuff cause I don't have any money.

Soul mate ... isn't that a phrase someone made up and now it's the in thing everyone talks about. They want their soul mate. How about the right partner for them, and you look for the partner you are right for?

And two rights don't make a wrong either. It makes a left. I got a left partner....left me with the bills and took the house.

Suggestion ... Be happy with yourself and then you might find someone.

Don't worry, be happy! And if that doesn't work, drink.

Although, let's remember that reality is what it is...the trick to it all is learning how to deal with it and alter our course a healthy and mature way! Of course, drinking too much may alter one's state of reality to such a point that they lose touch with said reality...permanently!! conversing

If meeting someone special was easy, we wouldn't be on C.S would we :)?.

You really do have to sift through a lot of undesirables until you get what you want in the end. Which is the only downside for most people :(.

Sorry.. one of the other ladies posted here that you don't have to disclose everything right off the bat and I agree. If he doesn't like children? Lose him. It is wise to wait until you've been together for a while before you expose your child to a poss partner. Kids don't process adults situations as well and nor should they have to.

In the mean time get interested in you. Find out what you like to do, what your interests are. Take up a new hobbie like divingthumbs up banana

Here in Ontario makes you wonder who your related to if your from a small town called Kinmount (cottage country).

Now no need to say much, but I am not from there. Just free bad for those who are.
