There are a lot of older men looking for younger women. Are older ladies also looking for younger men? Seems like every woman my age I meet is looking for younger men. What's going on?

Just a little fun! Have some young male friends here on CS. Some harmless flirting both ways...nothing serious. I would like someone much closer to my own age, please and thank you. grin

No, not me. For me the older the better and you have to be at least 45 years old to contact me. I cannot and will not date someone old enough to be my son or grandson.

That's a pretty blanket statement - no age range given etc. So what age range are you talking about?

If you were to search out men's profiles the majority of men in my age range of 45 will be looking for women age 21-45 with the rare one stating an age a couple of years older than themselves. So in saying this - would it not also be appropriate for women to have the same choices?

Personally I can't understand what a 45 year old would like about a 21-29 year old ... but I guess one never knows.

The more I've actually dated (older/younger) I'm personally coming to the conclusion that I'd prefer a younger man (36 plus) as they seem to have more energy, enthusiasm, less hangups about past relationships and the desire to actually have a relationship and put the effort in.

I agree, nowadays age has to remain to be seen.Age range difference within 10 yrs.thats younger or older!!
People have their own reasons,as long as they match and are happy about the arrangement.

Yes! I always find it bizarre to see middle aged men set a range of 25-50 or whatever!! Still.. I suppose maybe that covers the younger ones just for a bit of fun and the older ones for something more serious?

Maybe there should be two fields...one for what you would consider an appropriate age range for a relationship, and one which covers friends/casual dating if that's on the agenda. I certainly have good friends in "real life" both younger and older than the age range I set on here - which I set as pertaining to a possible relationship. But.... what I like about this site is that you can bypass that criteria and send a message anyway - it just goes to a different folder! So..anyone out there who wants to be friends either side of my age criteria - don't be shy! LOL!

I agree, I have friends on both sides of the age range and have fun with all, depending on the maturity and type of activities.

Age is a number, If two people meet and there is chemistry I think it is thier own business, and they should just enjoy each other, you cannot chose who to fall in love or lust with... it happens...all by itself...

I might consider dating a man who was younger, but only but at the very most 3 years.I have no interest in dating men who could,"age wise", be my son or nephew.

In my situation I can't afford to be picky though so if I met a man who was 5 years younger and was good to me then I would date him.As for how much older I would go well I don't think I would go over 60 years old.

In my case, age is two numbers: 5, followed closely by a 6.

When you were young, the women your age wanted older women, now that you are more mature, women in your age groupie want younger men.

I tell you. This is a conspiracy by the Group of Seven. (G7.) Or by the Group of twenty, as they have got a few new young artists to join them. (G20.) If you go left, they go to your right. If you go right, they go to your left. You can't catch up. You can't stay still. You can't even leave the dance floor.

In Dilbert cartoon he said to his dog, very angrily, that there was a religion which was based on not dating him. After a girl had told him at the office that she can't date him for religious reasons, and he assured her he'd convert. She said, it's not that...

To this the dog replied, Bro, where do you think I go every Sunday morning?
