Just a shout out to our neighbours down in BC...Geo and Laffingone and many others...stay safe, thinking of you all. We got some much needed rain today or could have easily been in the same situation, was like living in the midst of a tinder box. BC is taking a huge hit economically with these fires...Brian drive home safe, imagine the smoke may, if the winds are right, cause some visibility problems. teddybear

Thanks eyes, could see the mountains and clouds in the sky last night but not today. Going camping for the weekend a few hours from here so hopefully not too smokey there.

Brian had the smoke all the way up and it was worse coming back. He leaves again tonight to drive through it again.

It's very smoky in Edmonton. We ended up wearing medical masks this afternoon at work and when outside. Anyone with breathing problems or asthma are having lots of difficulty.

I read that in the news... The year I was preggers with the youngest we had horrible smoke in north Sask...I really feel for you all - it literally hurts to breath.
Safe travel wishes to Brian. As nice to hear that Geo is A-ok and his wicked sense of humour remains intact!!

I have friends who have a built a cabin and two barns up in the mountains. I was to be going to thier new place the end of August for holidays and horsebacking riding in the mountains for seven of the 18 days I have for holidays. They called me Wednesday and told me they are now in Langley B.C., staying with friends. They had thier horses shipped back down the mountains to a safe spot. My ride in the mountains this year is not going too happen, but my friends are safe and so are the horses. They are hoping that the forest fire does not take thier new place. I will keep everyone posted, when I hear more.
