i tend to choose my friends by character the gotta be fun to hang out with aslong as ur fun and like to have a good time and u don't use ur friends then ur ok with me
Their acsdemic accomplishment and or status in the community would not be the reason why they are chosen to be my friend.

personally, i could care less about education or status or financial status..
to me its common sense and divinity that attract.

I have had the experience where there are some people i meet and right off the bat I simply adore them and their company...and then there are some i meet, and for absolutely no reason at all...I cannot stand to be in their presence....

I can't say how I choose friends. I mean I have friends from all walks of life, all ages, races, religions, mindsets, financial positions, background ect.... it's an individual thing I guess for me. I just like people and because I have such a varied taste for life I can identify with almost anyone!

What I look for in friends is a great personality, respect towards themselves and others, fun loving, caring and supportive.
I don't care what their religion, culture, race, financial situation and popularity status is.
I look for the person they are inside. Not whats in their wallets or bank accounts.
