Funny I shall read this thread now, just last night I was watching a TV Special Report about the amount of Drugs Lords running this country. 
He needs help and not Lindsy Lohand kind of help but REAL help!

I think with the pressure he is getting, he will seek help, come back and try to portray the good guy image. I don't think it will be enough for him to get re-elected though.

I agree if he had admitted right off the bat he messed up and got help he could have saved his job and I bet the whole city would have being behind him!
