Explain-------->Baggage? (13)
Baggage to me is when someone is dealing irrationally with ordinary things or is hanging onto something they should have let go of a long time ago.
Of all the things you mention, the hardest for me to deal with is the memories...I can't compete with a memory, and sometimes they are the last thing someone can let go of.

Baggage I think is anything to do with your past. I had a male friend once who told me that as soon as you get rid of your baggage look me up? Hard to get rid of my kids, and would I want to put them last? NO 
baggage aren't kids....but rather an ex spouse/lover one can't seem to shake ...thus the extra luggage to cart around .

not letting go of the X. judging all by whats happened to you. not being able to trust anyone again because youv been cheated on 2 many time... things thats happened to you when a kid that you cant let go of not know how to have fun and enjoy life cuz your to affraid to get hurt taking all your fears with you on a first date letting your friends and family control your life comparing every guy or gal to the last one you were with self pitty...cuz life is not what you thought it was going to bebaggage is all the crap that is still in your head and heart that you have not let go of...and you take it all with you on a date............or carry it into a relationship....one needs to :
FORGIVE AND FORGET.......move on...sort our your baggage...downsize into a small carry on......become a new you and a happer you...love your self...and BOOYA...Bam...next thing you know...your meeting someone...and they are loving how fun and adventrious you are............................
Who the hell cares about all your spilt milk...youll have plenty of time to cry about it when your dead and 6 feet under...looking up at all the others having fun...falling in love,getting some,playing hockey,living their lives to the fullest................
we can sit and cry over all our crap...and let our past control oour lives......OR...........we can let go...move on......take our control back and start to live again....OMFG jump out of that plane,climb that mountain,race that car,date that hot guy,date that hot girl,dance naked in your kitchen,ski down that mountain,hit that
boxing bag.........do anything except feel sorry for yourself.........................
Well, I have a few memories of my past, but nothing that haunts me like a burden or anything. Or something i'd talk about to a new partner, unless of course they asked or something. I am a open person.. but memories you can't magically forget. Everyone has memories from a past relationship they've had. And I don't agree with calling kids baggage, I have a kid... it's like, either you accept that or not. I put my child first, and that's just the way it is. Another person would have to accept that. I would never expect someone else to put me before any children they had from a previous relationship. But overall, baggage to me is stuff that you're holding on from the past relationship that effects the way you have your newer one. Like someone wanting me to do soemthing for them the way their ex did, or talking about their ex all the time or whatever I couldn't handle.

She has hit the nail square on the head.
It's not fair to your prospective partner to try and develop a relationship with them while viewing the world through ex-coloured glasses. which means don't start something before you've cleaned up your past. It is also not fair to you.
Children are NEVER baggage.

JMO, baggage has to do with negatives and past experiences that a person will not let go and carries around with them. It still effects their lives, sometimes in all areas, and/or just in some areas.

2. The reason I can't see my toes
3. Work (why can we get paid to do nothing?)
4. Work again
5. Ex girl friend (Dam just once could I have some baggage?)
