I just lost a question I wanted to reply to. It was asking why the Canada forum was tapering off and one man talked about how hard it is to meet anyone in a town of 5000.

Well, try a town of 2500, especially when you are 55+! To be online is, sometimes, the only way to meet people and have someone to talk to.
Oh, well. I guess we just have to keep trying.

To me a town of 2500 is a big town. Try a town with 9 houses and 3 of them with only 1 person living in it. If want groceries, beer, gas, or any other service or entertainment, you drive to the next town.

I know the feeling. You need to add a distance factor and it gets even more difficult. I always joke (but it's the truth) that I have to drive 2 1/2 hours to my closest Tim Hortons. That coffee sure tastes good by the time I get there.

I think many cities no matter what the size has it's hang ups. I would imagine the smaller the more difficult. If the large the city the easier the chance..only small town folk would be here. Any way..I am over 50..feel and have energy of one 35, am really out going and alot of fun..but here I am...LOL. Well, I hope all you great people meet great people in here and find some lasting relationships. Best of luck to all. Write, I won't bite...maybe nibble..lol. Havew a great day all. Chuck. grin canada
