angel Walley, I was just joking around ...everything in my life is good; beyond good and am very happy. I was just making light of the thread name "cold and beautiful" sort of tongue in cheek describing not only myslelf(haha) but any woman if she so chose (haha). Life is good...and am looking forward to a lengthy holiday season with family and loved ones heart beating And a trip way up north to spend Christmas with my man is warming my heart wink

Bah Humbug!laugh

What do you mean by a lil' warmin' up?cowboy

Snow might be acceptable if it never got below -5 or so, but here it seems to want to dip down to -40/-50 at times and I hate that "trapped" feeling. Who wants to go outside in that crap. blues

I'm still moving to BC...eventually.laugh

I do love the snow up here in the north. We usually end up with several feet, but I do agree that long periods of the cold are hard to take. Our second cold night was last night. It was -30 C this morning and the long range forecast has -21s C as our high for the next two weeks. Yep no doubt winter is here now. At least my Christmas cards have been sent and almost all the presents going to my family in the east are wrapped. I guess I will cuddle up with my dog and try to keep warm.

wave Kid, there are several methods that can be used to create warmth to us humans...hmmmm...one could almost write a book. You can layer, several thin but heat efficient fabrics - the natural route, ie. wool, silk, cotton etc. or you can go the man made route with the whole line of "therma" brands, or, food and drink that warms the body, mind and soul or activities that create body warmth and finally, snuggling up to another body and using that in conjunction with one, some or all of the aforementioned - and you should be feeling some warmth devil If not, I send you warm wishes and say stick to your goals and you will soon be in BC cheers comfort

I hope everyone else is keeping warm.

rolling on the floor laughing Sometimes we can't either! I think that is why lots and lots of babies are born in the fall in Canada...all that winter loving to keep warm! It does have it's benefits.

I lived in the Arctic for a year...and -60, -70 was not uncommon. Gotta love it or leave it!grin
