blondeaozichick: no I don't know anyone... thank goodness !!
hi blonde
yes i do not know anyone thank goodness, but kizzy was saying in another thread that she fears for a fellow member who may have been affected......i thought well maybe i will start this thread, so that people could maybe perhaps vent their worries, or hopefully get in touch with other members whom they might not have heard from...hopefully they just have no access to computers at the mo, and thats why they cannot be contacted
Have put feelers out but noone seems to have heard from Rochy!! he was a reg in the threads when i first joined he left the forums but not the site . not heard a thing since the fires he had pulled his profile tho but i woulda thought he would let us know he was ok !!!

kizzy27: AND THX RQ VERY THOUGHTFUL
Ditto
I had a mate that was caught in the fire at Daylesford and had the fire pass over him. He was taken to hospital but luckily didn't get burned but did suffer from smoke inhalation. He was kept overnight for observation and suffered a bit of post traumatic stress as he thought he was a goner. He is all good now and back to work. It was a real worry at the time as he was pretty messed up afterward.

I don't personally know of anyone affected, but in saying that, it doesn't make it any easier, knowing the devastation that these people experienced. I could actually feel their pain during the worst of it, and at times, I just had to walk away from the TV. The media were like sharks, out to get, yet another story, and I found their reporting too graphic at times.
Anyhow, I would just like to say that this Thread is very thoughtful of you RQ. Thank you!
