AgentAjax: Exactly, “life is what we make of it” BUT life itself never come into existence because of some omniscient presence. Chemical reactions and various magnetic fields are responsible for that. Craig Venter is proving that day by day by creating synthetic life. Nature often confuses even the greatest of minds, Einstein referred to it as the god of spinoza. Maybe we are in the centre of the universe and the whole universe isn’t just the milky way.. who knows. Lately science is proving Galileo wrong and our earth along with our solar system is not actually rotating around the sun as proposed back in mid 1500’ds, this is also killing Einstein’s gravity theory. We are not as intelligent as we think we are. Flight diluted us until 1870’s yet in principal it was observed in nature for thousands of years. We discover things by accident more than by rational thinking, in that same way life came into existence by accident… come to think of it… many of us on here and many of our kids came into this world by accident.
It is only by rational thinking that we 'discover' things "by accident."

it is quite perceptive that we do. Very interesting. But full of conflicts. The Big Bang Theory does indicate that we are eliptically and expanding. The clip does support this but seems to say that Earth is the centre of the Universe. Gallileo made the observation that the Church was not maybe right about everything revolving around Earth. And he was declared an "heritic" because he did not support the Church's views.
Emperical observations seemed to disagree with the Church's views over the last 500 years. So who do we believe? 1500 years of Church or 500 years of emperical observations?

Galileo was obviously correct from observational vantage point. However we have telescopes much more advanced than what Galileo was using, including some placed in space and some that have travelled out of our solar system taking photos and sending them back. Science never closes all door to new information like religion, it is not opened to belief but to fact of the time and obviously more correct than some monotheistic belief that arrived with Jews to control the masses.Emperical observations seemed to disagree with the Church's views over the last 500 years. Like anything, people can come up with excuses for their own actions, ie: it's just a game - pokie machine, people smoke 'til they're 100yo - smoking, it doesn't kill your brain cells - alcohol, etc, etc...

I do understand what you are saying, I've had bosses who've done that, gone and bought a new printer. I got one printer for about $20 on sale from the good guys, and the cartridges were $42 for a pack of 1 black and the coloured. Not my best purchase I'll admit
