Obscuritan: Agreed, he's Dutch... I mean weird. Oh well same difference

HOLD ON... talk about prejudiced! my guy is Dutch and is the sweetest kindest man I have ever met! his love and understanding of all animals is a joy to see.

Its obvious you have not heard about the cruelty that goes on in this country for instance...so many Greyhound puppies destroyed before they have a chance to live, unwanted, Old and Neglected horses sent to the knackery some heavy in foal, gentle and dedicated farm dogs worked into the ground, hunting dogs tied up for weeks on end forgotten about, the weak cries of tiny lambs as their throats are cut by the farmer! and that is just the tip of the iceberg.

In my lifetime I have come across some terrible acts of cruelty and when I could I have done something about it, because of it I once had my life threatened.

Obs have you any idea what really goes on and if you do you just close your eyes to it... instead you sit there and pick on one particular person what an absolute joke.

I think it is cruel and it shows lack of respect to the animal. It is disgusting and revolting.

AgentAjax: I must have sick sense of humour, I found it quite funny. The cat is not alive… sorry but those photos are quite artistic.

The photo of the guy looking into his dead pal's eyes show love is still there....

But for the life of me, seeing this poor dead ex best friend with its paws pinned and spinning around for others' amusement, totally lost me. I've been trying hard to see it from his perspective, but I haven't succeeded yet. Io me, it is totally disrespectful towards another once living creature.

Maybe when the guy dies, his next of kin could nail him to a cross and shoot him into space, and take one last video of him..??dunno

Obscuritan: Where is that mythical place where all the deceased, I mean banned CSers go?
You prefer their company?

I don't know how they did it, but someone on FB had obviously not taken 'no' for an answer with invites, and one day I started getting a flood of posts of people bickering with each other. They were all ex CS'ers that I recognised. I was furious!!!from this place that very mad I let it be known, and asked that someone to get me off that b***** site immediately as I had not given my approval and did not wish to be witness to such charades. Thank goodness, some invisible thing deleted me.

It appeals to those who love to gossip, Obscuritan.thumbs down

IT's exactly why I don't want pets. I never lived more than a few weeks without pets. Mum loves cats, and her boyfriend loves dogs, but to see them I'd think they don't care. Maybe it's the possession, the ownership of something. I don't know. I gave up trying to figure it out. And I will not accept any more bloody animals! I did once, I saved mum's cat, he stayed with me, and about 15 years later, he passed away. God, I never want to see that ever again. I loved that cat, he was like a loyal friend, a funny bloke who likes to play hide-and-seek, and more than anything loves to sleep above my head on the pillow. I miss him sometimes. But I won't do it again. I never had a life without animals, so I'm waiting to get my own place and see what it's like without any animals needing me every five minutes or so. Ah well.

I know my limits, though. Most of my life, I didn't want cats, it was mum who needed them, one cat dies, she replace it quickly, she's unable to grieve properly, it hurts too much. No tme, I went through the grieving process and I came out better. Her boyfriend's not much of a dog person, he'd get these days, and never bothers to train them, just pats them, and that's about it.

Cats or dogs, people should show that they can look after them, knows how to keep them healthy with stimulating activities, etc then they can have a cat or a dog.

As it is, we're overwhelmed by the stupidities of people who overreached themselves with too many cats and dogs, or other pets, and not understand themselves so they lashes out wacking the animals in their frustrations.

Know your limits, think about whether having a dog or cat really will make your life better or something. Or will it cramp your life? Had questions, but logical.

No worries.

Oh Def you are so right. I simply do not know what I would do without my four dogs and one cat' it does not cramp our style in fact it enhances it one hundred fold.

I don’t think it was for amusement only, its art I believe. Same as sewing a dead fish to your chest until it rots and falls off. I’ll be the first to put my hand up and say I don’t understand art if it aint got a picture of a person or scenery, I call it poobrain entertainment. dunno

Lets look at this logically. The cat died of natural causes ( got hit by a carwink) Now unless you believe in Schrodingers theory that a cat in a box can be alive and dead at the same time, it is nothing more than a stuffed animal. ( no further cruelty is possible after death) dunno As for respecting animals- when people can tell me they have never thrown out half a chicken, steak or even unfinished ham out just because it was in a fridge for way too many days. Only those people can come and tell me they have respect for animals.dunno

People, if you want to see real cruelty go here watch this video and make your voces be heard via a letter to you government.

You usually make very rational comments, but sometimes lately, like this last one, they challenge melaugh ...Dunno about you, but I don't go around eating cats!!doh

There is a difference between animals as your pals, vs animals as your food supply...And no, I would never throw out half a chicken, and if ever someone thinks meat is off in the fridge, how is it disrespectful to throw it out? Would you rather they eat it and get food poisoning???comfort

p.s. anyone can do anything that to them signifies artistic expression. The act does not turn it into an artwork. Now there is another thread topic. What constitutes art...It ain't pinning a dead cat's paws to turn him into a bird.doh

Strange individual ....

If he does that to his cat
What would he do to a family member to remember them.

I was referring to disrespecting life by it ending up in a trash can. With better planning, Im sure we could reduce the unnecessary slaughter of animals by few percent. Which could possibly mean one million less kettle, 10 million less chickens..etc in Australia alone. I think we are all guilty as charged and our ignorance is overwhelming but we have no problem pointing out and be disgusted with others who have done far less then your average person in the kitchen.

I don’t know if you seen that video or not, but to see a 300 to 400 Kg cow been lifted by its rear legs and drowned in boiling water in slaughter houses, is certainly disturbing in comparison to couple of propellers been placed on a dead cat. JMO
