Originally answers, then friendship - and along the way I found companionship... but friendship brought me back...

wash2u: Worth at least a couple of bob.

I have travelled a lot through Central Australia in quite remote areas with a mate. Good company, we share the workload, know what to do when we pull up at a pub (1 shout each). Stop for the night and first thing is gather firewood for the night. Then sit back with a cold beer until dinnertime. He hates my cooking so usually does it and I do the cleaning up. Sorry AA, already got a mate who does the firewood and can even mend punctures.

4 years ago, I went on a different outback holiday through Australia. Had a woman with me for the 5 weeks away. I did the driving, finding campsites, getting the firewood and the fire going, all the cooking. She did help pitch and pull down the tent. Most important of all was the companionship sharing the trip together.

Cruiser, without the cmpanionship, you might as well just sit at home and do nothing.

Hi Wash,
I sit at home, well dont sit, and I am so absorbed in my garden, I have magpies for company... and I do plenty... nothing strange about that??? laugh

I rarely have company, and yet... I dont mind most of the time. I guess that as long as the sun is shining, and the birds do their orchestra thing, its all good. wave

But what do I really want.. some company from someone who is really into gardening, likes to be outdoors, and maybe could dance to a respectable standard... hehehe...

But Kizzy's idea of a billionaire sitting on a mountain of shoes lol... no he'd have to have a mountain of roses... for me anyways...

grin wave

Spent the morning freezing my butt off. Decided on some hot quiche for lunch and went down the street to buy some. All of 8 degs. Got home and finally lit the fire for the first time this winter. House was too hot after 1 hour so went out to garden. Just a little bit and filled 2 green waste bins.

Some of us make the choice to go out every night "on the prowl" while many of us are comfortable the way we are. Some of us want company, while some want company 24/7. I love gardening (I can sit and watch someone doing it for hours), love the outdoors (anywhere outdoors), and can dance to "white men ain't got no rhythm" standard.rolling on the floor laughing

House is lovely and warm. Think I will stay inside now.smitten

We had the most perfect weather here for the last 2 days... Today I was outdoors in a t-shirt.

so, I decided to wash the windows, outside, had the hose splashing about, then not satisfied, I decided I'd move all the mulch that Ihad made round the front, the patch that I am pouring mulch into and digging in, will be a very happy home for plants.. then I got out Mr Blowervac and gave him some exercise, then Gave Mr Steamer some as well... Meanwhile, I had a plant that needed repotting, so I mix a nice mix of mulch and clay, had to get a saw out to cut the pot... so that done, I decided to fix up the paving, got out 2 bags of 30Kg beach sand, and swept it into the pavers, front and bag patios, then I was going to finish, but, the weeds needed tormenting, so I mixed up 3 containers of spray and tormented the weeds.. big time...

Got to 5pm and I decided to come indoors... Had my shower, folded up the washing, so for me, that is a good day's effort...

I dont intend to do much now... lol

Long weekend and only 1/2 day (sort of) of decent weather. Went down the side of the house for a change and realised that it was a tunnel. Sort of realised that last time I went to turn the spa on but it is so overgrown now. Almost looked like something out of "The Hobbit" with all those spider webs in the narrow tunnel. 2/3 now clear.
