I need someone who is finacially independant yes .. but also some one who can relate & mix well who understands I have commitments and responsibilities.

I don’t worry about things like that. Around our age, most are financially independent. My problem is people who are into sledging, insults…etc trying to bring you down to their level.

Just a normal part of life, Kizzy.
I wish that it was not, but that is how it is.
I hope that you do not sink to where I am, which is a point at which one gives up and tries to stop caring (with or without chemical assistance).
I know that you do not like me (loathe me might be more accurate), but I hope that things improve for you.

For a man, there is no expectation that the female has any asssets at all. Some men may be looking for a free ride, but I do not think that they are large in number.
The reason that men of your age are 'circling the drain' is because they have been screwed by the Family Court and the Child Support Agency. After those two organisations have finished with a man his life is over.

sorry to hear you are hurting Kizzy, but if we put ourselves out there looking for love, we also open ourselves up to hurt.
It takes courage to open up, but hopefully (eventually!, seems like an eternity!) someone will happen along.

The Crock has a point. I have been out with some very fine ladies not after the whole $2.43 I have in the bank. At times we realise that things are not going to really work and it is better to end the relationship. And then we pine "what if?" So we can only try again. Not everyone is perfect (okay, those that are are already taken) so we look to find what we are seeking. Doesn't always work but often enough it does. You never know what is just around the corner.
Probably a big bus but the driver maybe the one you are seeking.
Sorry to hear about your heartbreak Kizzy. Let's hope it fades quickly.
Having our hearts broken and then having to break someones heart are all part of the process 
Sadly I had mine broken but worse is having broken someone else's as that isn't easy, especially when you are like them but just at different stages in your life.
Sometimes we date people and like them but realise they are not ready for a relationship as still have issues to sort and before ya know it, they step over the lines and fall for you....
But in the dating front, I am quite happy

Kristia49: I'm with you on those things kizzy. It really does make you wonder if there are any out there, i've given up for the time being, I'll stick with me batteries.
Never give up as there are still genine guys and gals out there, but a bit like looking through a needle in a hay stack or when you least expect it, they appear in your life There is always hope, just pick yaself back up after a few drinks just to help and stay positive
