Teens are getting worse every day,no not just naughty little brats, murderers, theives ,vandals, thats what they are,not all, but where do you find a decent teen these days. One in three when out at night causes trouble.I say jail them ,even for minute crimes. As for these unknown crims infiltrating our society in amongst the asylum seekers ... hang em.they are contaminating the ranks of the good asylum seekers. The laws need to be redone, now were in the 21st century, its a century of overcrowding, and social unrest, and the peeople that cause the trouble should be put to sleep

Yep we don't want those asylum seekers from Syria where Civil War has been declared coming over here and upsetting our lovely Bikie Gangs?
But I do agree it is time to get tough on criminals, especially the young brats that have no respect for anybody in authority and that includes, paramedics who come to save their drunken/drug addicted life?? We should take a leaf out of New York's book from a few years ago, ZERO TOLERANCE. One strike and you are out.
Yeah I agree with your comments about teens but even many in their 20s are loudmouth hoons and troublemakers
I think a lot of parents are to blame, their kids are spoilt rotten and think society owes them and that they can get away with anything .. which they often do.

Merriweather: Mmmm... I try to avoid teenagers at all costs...
well from what i can see in this town,in the last two weeks theyve pulled out all the 60klm signs, pushed over everyones garbage, smashed two car windows, graffiti,d the windows of shopsand put the road signs across the road to cause an accident.when i catch them, there is a deep mine shaft up the road,i,ll have fun watching them try to get out...and yes two wrongs will make a right

Gosh, must be the same fellas... I was driving home from my son and daughter-inlaw's home, and I faced all the signs put over the road.. I was a bit frightened actually, coz I had to get out and move them to be able to drive on... and being it was lateish... I was worried that someone might be hiding about... anyway.. they do need a slappin. that is just so annoying..
and yes, I dont get it with pushing rubbish bins over... they should be made to do a detention, and go to everyones homes, and scrub out bins... that 'd teach them...
I think a lot of todays teenagers have far too much time and money on their hands. Some that dont have bad role models in their parents have bad role models in the celebrities they admire. The money some of these young celebrities have at 17 years of age is shocking and what they choose to spend that money on is even worse (drugs, booze etc). The media is a lot to blame for publishing every bad move these celebs make as they portray them as heroes. Making teens do a couple of nights a week of army reserves wouldnt hurt to give them something to do.

Fortunately, my years of teenagers are over... we dont have any in the family...
But I will never forget how hard it was...
and mine were pretty good really... I kept them involved in every sport, they had practice practice practice, so that made my life active active active...
But dirty greasy hands on white cupboard doors... from them fiddling about in the shed with cars was a nightmare...
They were hugely into graffitti, but they registered themselves with the local council, and were allowed to spray their paintings legally.. on walls determined... but hey, they are both in art related jobs now, so I was OK about it.
Quite lot of the young people (16 to 18 yr olds) that top themselves parents often run small business's and work work, poor kids are then left to work life out before they are capable

Like you Merri I was involved with my kids as much as I could. It's great to hear your kids did things the right way re - their artistic talents. I believed with my kids moving to the bush on a property and getting them a horse gave them responsibiltiy , while they were kids and growing into teenagers we were always at the horse shows, plus they couldn't get to city too far , don't think they were too happy about lack of & too far away from party time out , being kids they like to stretch their boundries But hey they all turned out beaut people. I was born and raised in the bush it didn't hurt me so knew it would be good for them slower lifestyle

You know Rob... what I cannot work out is this... I lived on my own at 17 already... I was still at school, and I attended everyday... I cant see what has gone so horribly wrong... I did not get up to mischief at all... (except smoking)

Hey Curly, I know you have wonderful children too... and yes, being kids they did like to stretch their boundaries... but the boundaries were small things then... like eating the cake after school that were told not to, and making a mess of the kitchen, and leaving it ....
But not destroying others properties... that I know they didn't do...
