Morning micky and all - bit late but I was busy this morning about 5 am at a car boot sale cool

Packed up the old station wagon with some of the stuff my daughter left behind when she moved out, went through my cupboards too, made a few dollars and some stuff left over for the Salvos. peace

Bloody hard work, nice day, windy later but rewarding $$$$$$. thumbs up thumbs up thumbs up

Amazing what people buy?? My daughter bought a very, very expensive hair straightener, (not much change from $200!!) the box was fancy, black and gold with some jewel decoration on. Took that - somebody gave me dollars for it! doh

Unbelievable? dunno

I'd believe it! laugh

Had a garage sale, everything set up and priced .. people were picking through my stuff that I'd stacked neatly on shelves out of the way - buckets, half empty paint tins and opened packets of snail bait and fertilizers and asking how much I wanted for them laugh

The funniest part was when a woman asked me if I had any other colours in the sheet sets I was selling - like whaddaya think this is, KMart?? laugh

That's usually the case Serene, how much you want for the fold up chair - "Hello I am sitting on it!"

My sister was with me, she had brought some stuff in a cane washing basket, she got it out of the back of the car right at the end to pack up - you guessed it, 5 seconds after she put it down the first person to come along "How much you want for the laundry basket" rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

Merri, you should have seen the queue of cars to get on the sight, park area, $15 a site, at that time, I'd say at least 60 cars!! Glad I don't do that every week.

Hate the people who always try and knock you down no matter how cheap your stuff is. Had a picnic table, fold up, 4 seats, camping stuff, had $10 on it, they are $50 new, guy offered me $5 early on - I said no. We had stuff piled on it, forgot about it until the last hour, stuck a sign on it for $10 - texta was barely dry, lady came along - "I'll have that!" SOLD!

Love it. Money for old junk!

I have never done a boot sale... have thought about it, but I am a throw away person... my motto is... if I have not used it in 6 months... its out to the bin...

But since you mentioned 5am... I have decided to keep my own rubbish bin happy.... laugh

Hi Curly, wave

Yeah, I heard it on the news, and we are getting your weather after you... sigh

My day was really different... all of us ( family and babies, and extended family) met up in a rural area for brunch.. This place also makes chocolate... so it was waffle with icecream, strawberries, and choc for me.. followed by a coffee chocolate drink... grin

But when I came home, I did the shopping, cleaned my car inside and out.. even took the steamer to it... and then gardening, I bought and planted an apricot tree...applause

Yesterday I was in ijit... I cleaned my house thoroughly, and was plumb tuckered out... I even cleaned all the kitchen drawers, soaked cutlery and polished it with metho... you know those days, were you get nit pikky and want to clean absolutely everything... well, that was my yesterday... doh
