Well I certainly have been feeling so much better lately .So in keeping with that felt like buying some old school bling .
I have been searching for some old school watches like timex or seiko's .You know the wind up ones from the 60's or 70's .
Searching local pawnshops with little luck sigh .
Did get told of a seiko and they wanted between 80 and 120 but it was getting repaired no fixed date on its return .
So another day another pawnshop passed .Dropped in didnt have what i was looking for BUT I bought this newish perpetual (spelling sorry ) watch .
Embedded image from another site

Sorry bad picture but i like it .
Next on the agenda some sort of necklace platinum or silver !!
Along with more clothes .
Showed the guys at work the picture GANGSTER Bling head banger
LMAO its good to be alive

Gee' if you can afford a genuine platinum necklace maybe you should go for gold, it looks really good, never go for silver as seems to collect the dirt and grime and the shine does not last very long. dunno wave

Ah yes I agree much more expensive but 9ct gold is very durable( had one for 30 years) and its the fav for guys who want that gold look.
A platinum necklace is very expensive out of reach for most of us but then Micky might have a lot of money to burn.

dunno grin

I have a watch my father bought back in the 70s which is self-winding. Relies on your arm moving to keep it going. My problem is that I don't wear watches so it never goes.

I made the mistake of buying one made in Germany that turned out workings were made in China.
Was much bigger than i envisaged, put it on and during the night bumped my head with it. Ouch that hurt, its laying about in local post office with for sale sign on it.

Went back on eBay and purchased a SKAGEN made in Denmark, Quartz battery powered of course Wash2, works fine and much nicer to wear to

00.com.au I noticed yesterday have got a lot of Seiko for sale most around the $200 + price tag.

Loving the Guess watches

Many years ago, my daughter dug up a watch at the beach. Black face with white hands. No numbers. Bit of guesswork.

But these days, time is not so important and never wear a watch. Clocks around the house have time, computer has time, phone has time, the car has time. Even the stove has timedoh

It is light, time to get up. It is dark, time to think about eating and then sleeping. What more do people need.

Micky, good to have a "Plan". You want your watches, go for it. We do need something to aim for. For me, it is the trips I do and the ones I can see coming in the future. Still want to go back to Vienna, Venice and the Scottish Highlands.

Maybe I won't do them but I do have "The Plan".

I agree wash2u - whatever makes you happy. For us ladies if we need a quick cheap 'cheerup' it could be a lipstick or new nail polish, but in the long term it could be a dream holiday?? motorcycle

Whatever gives you pleasure in that moment "A thing of beauty is a joy forever" is a saying that is very true, whether it be a shell you find on the beach or a 2.5 carat diamond that costs you $$$$ - if you enjoy looking at it then it is good for you? gift

I just love watches, it's more of an accessory thing for me rollers

The Guess watch I have is a big chunky silver number with a leopard print face .. people say 'Love your watch, but how do you manage to tell the time with it?'

I'm like 'Who cares' dancing

laugh

People look at me weird when they ask me 'Excuse me - do you know what the time is ?" I have to get the specs out ...... laugh
