Yay, I loved the read... so nice to hear that you enjoy school holidays .

I used to love the school holidays when my boys were young... I loved that we could do lots and I could spend heaps of 'daytime' with them,

Well done Reolvine... so many parents dont like school holidays, and I used to absolutely adore having the boys home... thumbs up thumbs up

The kid has been doing extra schooling over the holidays! She is in year 12, she got a C in maths+4 ? Ok that gives her a B average! With all the A’s . she has got, but I still feel somewhat disappointed after all the extra work she has done not to mention her mum paid for a math tutor!

As to what I have done? Other than what I do everyday any different? That would be nothing? Any different! The kid and I talk everyday for around an hour about our day, nothing is off the table when we talk, but that’s 365 days per week, not just the holidays,

Tonight she drove her boyfriend down to McDonalds in my car for an ice-cream,

that’s when you find out how much they love you?

The thing I love about school holidays is when school is shut down and those stupid mothers in their 4 wheel drives on the road taking up space taking the kids to school does my head in totally doh

When school is out it is fantastic on the roads get to work on time not such a traffic jam and get home ok too. Makes a massive difference when no schoolies an 4 wheel drive mums about.

Mind you I do try not to go to shops too much when school hols are on too many kids.

uh oh Yep! I don't have kids at home nor grandkids call me selfish if you want but I like it like that , peaceful and roads not so jammed up. peace yay

And isn't it so good when you here "thanks Dad" or Mum for those others in the conversation.

I think that is what being a parent is about, not who did what.

was mai daughters birthday the other day and her mum thanked me for being a good dad......that gave me a good feeling.......even tho it didnt work out between us we have both been the best parent we possibly could at the time..and our daughter knows that we love her so much.....what more could a parent do than this.to be loved and cared for.....that is the best thing in the worldhandshake
