I have a Samsung Galaxy, but not admitting to being a dumb peep....confused

I love it.... can do everything, the screen is large, so easy to see. When you tilt it on the side the screen flips sideways and makes the numbers even bigger and easier to use.

It's my alarm clock, my organiser, my web browser, my phone, my camera and i'm still discovering stuff it can do......all in one.

Takes pretty good pics too

Only one critism is its a bit big if you want to carry it in ya pocket, but I see they have a mini version about 3/4 size

Never had a iphone so can't compare but reacon you wont be disappointed with a Galaxy

My son-in-law is a computer geek. He has the Galaxy because it does "so much." My daughter has iPhone4 and has found it so easy to use. Talked me into it. It is very user friendly. Daughter uses it for emails, internet, eBay, Gumtree, Facebook, as well as talking to people. I am not so savvy but do find it easy to use.

Son-in-law is jealous of what it can do so easily. Now looking at the iPhone5.

Main difference is the size of the screen, Galaxy is a bigger unit. And the cost of the Plan you take could be all the difference there is to you when they really do the same thing.

I don't trust myself with anything fancier than my $99 Nokia - dropped it on road, pavers, concrete at least 10 times, just splits in 3, front, back, battery. help

So far, so good, no screen cracks even?? dancing

Most of my daughters friends have iPhones with cracked or repaired screens, one fell off the lounge onto carpet??? Serious, how crap is that?

I've got the Galaxy II, only drawback seems to be battery life. I have to carry my old Samsung windows phone as a back up and swap the SIM card over, the Galaxy dies around midday if I'm out and about, admittedly it gets a fair bit of use texting etc.

The Galaxy III will be a bigger drain regarding the battery due to the 4G features so I'd stick to the II if I were you. Also it's pointless having 4G if your area can't pick it up.

I haven't found that with mine. It usually last up to two days until it needs a recharge. Maybe they put a more powerful battery in the III

serene56: Have to agree epirb, especially about having a simple mobile phone that just does the jobs you want it to do ie. calls and text msgs Wondering if lookin really needs mobile internet?

I have a Samsung Galaxy tablet which has all the features of an iPhone (I don't need it as a phone though) and although it is brilliant and I love it, typing on the screen is a pain in the butt. Buttons are much easier and quicker as with my current Motorola.

Thinking something straightforward for lookin would do the trick, he probably doesn't need all the bells, whistles and potential problems that come with an android phone?
All I see is the tel co's telling every one how good things are and that we must have just to get a at apoint where the can milk us , Curly got it . If it works keep it running another year or so . It could be different if you need mobile internet to run a business out of a car rather than an office . Not having a secretary might be cheaper but not half as much fun devil

Oh Well, sigh I still dont have a mobile phone, and I figure that being contactable at work and have a home phone is plenty...

I guess I am different.. I dont want to be contactable... and to be honest, I have always wondered why people need to be contactable all of the time... that would drive me nuts... To me, I think my quiet time should be ' my time' and I dont want to be bothered by a ringing phone.. rollers

I even pull the home phone plug out when I dont want to be contactable.. if I want to sleep on a Sunday arvo... nothing worse than having my kip interrupted...

Definately getting old... sigh
