A voucher is a good idea as they can pick out there own and lets face it, who doesn't like to go shopping with someone else's money.

My kids are in there 20's and all male so never know what to get them. Alcohol always seems appreciated tho beer

And their girlfriends are even harder. I have been known to opt for the voucher on more than one occasion. gift

I know they boys would also love money but I feel like it's not really a gift.

Every year I vow to start early and get organised but every year I end up doing the last minute dash. super

Oh well.....it wouldn't be Christmas without a little madness.

party

I did the Bunnings voucher for my kids a few times, they both love the place.

But to make it more difficult, my daughter's birthday party is Saturday (birthday on Sunday), her husband's is 11 days later and the end of the month is my son's birthday. And I didn't get around to sending a present up to the daughter-in-law recently.

All will be at the party and so all get their birthday presents at the same time. The ex will be there band even though her birthday is soon, I haven't gotten anything for her.

Hard enough to find all those presents for birthdays let alone think about Xmas. Although Curly has given me an idea from mentioning her kid's new home. 20 tonnes of soil dumped on the drivewayrolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing help

Vouchers are good but I also usually buy a small gift or two so there are the pressys to open. A basket hamper which you add stuff to is also a good idea idea pointing dancingsanta

I am usually well and truely done by now, however this year it just hasn't happened. I don't have any idea what to get for everyone this year and the ones I do know what to get, I can't seem to find where to get it. There are a couple of presents that I will need to buy a day or 2 before Christmas day but other than that, I just need to find the time to go looking. I will get there though. I always do. I am the big kid in our family. grin

I used to shop at the local sports store for my kids . Purchase four of the same items and most times would get a fifth free . This year its payback time as my first grandchild is due on the 16th Dec , a little girl already named Dakota . Not too sure about naming a child before its born , but there you are . Must be the time for kids to get new houses as my son and his girl's employer is building a new house , two bedroom WTF ? only two , seems the builders did not brase the framing well enough and it blew down in the gales a while back .

I have shopped til I am broke, but still need more pressies to buy...
I love giving for my kids, friends and grandchildren, heart wings but..

Having said that...

the pressies which I have to buy for all my work colleagues are painful.. I hate having to do all of that stuff... not because I dont like Christmas, more because its such a waste, I mean, how many santa pictured covered chocs can one get...??

and silly little things which never get used... just because its a custom at work...

and for me, its doubly painful because I have two contracts and work in two teams...
both teams have about 20 persons in them... Bar Humbug..!!! doh
