does science have all the answers or are we just beginning to scratch the surface in our knowledge of the universe?

In my opinion we do have a lot of the answers, but I suspect that despite that, we are still just scratching the surface.

Science has never claimed to have the answers? They only ever to claim to have a theory! Its only when the test results are repeated by independent scientist that come to the same theory that the papers can be published, that is why the IPCC are wrong with their climate prediction, they use a computer model, there is not yet a computer invented that could ever possibly recreate the climate! But everyone agrees that things are happening too the climate, but none can predict the cause off climate change, we know off three historical events in the past that were well documented as to a cause off climate change! Two historical events happened at global warming, the rise of the Roman Empire, the invasion off England by the Vikings, and the last global cooling period was the rise and fall off Napoleon! These are historical facts, that cannot be denied, in all three examples above there was not one coal fired power plant?

Go figure!

I agree with Obscuritan, we are still scratching the surface. Many theories are being reconsidered.

I wonder why our scientists are always under the "magnifying glass"--- pressure to get their theories right. Often they reconsider and come up with other theories. While many religions are all based on "faith journeys". Religions are not expected to prove anything written in their scriptures.

I think they pretty well got it right couple of hundred years ago about the universe. All they are doing at CERN at the moment is confirming those theories.

Science has gave us so much knowledge so far but it will take an eternity to unlock all the secrets of our massive beautiful universe , The only question i have is knowing to much detrimental to us or will it be for the better ..

As far has medical research goes so far it has befitted us but how far is to far ?

Science is a wonderful thing that keeps us asking the question why. The day we stop doing that is the day we stop learning. The reason for the great advances across the globe in the last 100 years is because some people stopped blindly following religion and start asking the question why. The answer was soon clear, why not.
It wasn't that long ago in history that a scientist had to be very careful not to upset the church with his ideas, for fear of his own life.

Yes, I remember that. Nine years ago now. I've never really heard any more about it. That girl would be 9 now and fears about birth defects, etc could be settled.

Same here, because it attracted research doctors, lawyers and scientists. Maybe they have something happening since they have established a company and I also think they sell shares.
