My Dad cheering

He's always been my hero. he's there for me no matter what, he rescued my many times throughtout my life be it, a broken down car, a bad break up or a rebellious teenager. He's always available to talk through a problem no matter how old I get and I still blubber down the phone to him occasionally and I'm pretty well all grown up now lol.

Love me ol' man hug

Hello : )...Etty Hillesum....her journal/letters made into a book....letters from Westerbork. Inspiring and unforgettable. She was a true hero and probably never realised this fact before she died.

Len Beadell.

A bit of a larrikin, great story teller and probably one of the last real explorers of Australia. During his work for the Aust Govt in the 50s & 60s opening up the Outback for a number of reasons (rockets and atomic bomds), he visited many remote areas of Australia and opened it up to so many people who enjoy it to this day. He even met an indigeous family/tribe in the late 50s who had never seen a white man.

If you ever get a chance to get one of his books, it is well worth reading about the hardships he had in relatively recent times.

Another one is Cecil Madigan who was on Mawson's Antartic expedition to Antartica who also crossed the North Simpson Desert by camel and did a lot of research around Lake Eyre.

1. Wanderlei Silva - Nicest guy you can ever meet which i did and was the best day of my life other than seeing him compete (and WIN) in person.

2. Anderson Silva - Because he is just the greatest!

I've had quite a few people inspire me, but I can't say I have any "heroes".

People are fallible, and once you start putting anyone on a pedestal, you'd better get out of the way before they fall off and crush you.laugh
