Martiabenalla, Victoria Australia141 Threads 1 Polls 2,888 PostsWatching Paul Murrey tonight and the panel talking about the Gov cutting funding for Chemo Treatment YET still granting the film company 18 Million to make another Hugh Jackman Wolverine movie' the one before it made 2 Billion and the panel were really slamming that decision ,at the time I was disgusted and appalled but thinking about it how much would the Gov get back in taxes from that film company' at the moment I really dont know where my taxes are going because it should be going to fund the Chemo and NOT the Film Company.
so agree with you Martia, my son has been fighting Lymphoma for the past 2 years, he is one of thousands who need chemo for survival

Money is too make money! Spending money on a movie will create more money, in tax maybe they can then do both? don’t forget unless we make a good pic here less companies will make movies here, the more movies made here the more tax for Chemo? Available?. We all have a budget, but if the government go broke we are the ones that will have to pay? The governments budget is more than 300 billion, each year, if they stop giving it away each year they will actually make a profit, so we can pay less tax, that’s the problem with governments, unless they spend all their budget they have too give some back?

Oh my dear you must be so very strong to even keep standing with what you have been through over the years' it gets to a point that you get so used to one tragedy after the other that you face it 'get that numb feeling' and carry on regardless.
I think this is the only way our minds can cope , nature has equipped some of us with an emergency button to block out devastation and heartbreak so we can keep going'and to get that great strength no matter what life throw at us and you freominx are one of those rare people.

I'd pay the see Hugh on screen every night of the week if I knew it would go towards Health and Education to fund our desperatly underfunded hospitals and schools.
For anyone working in the Public Health system it must so frustrating to see, hear and read things like this? 
But having said that, I agree with Blizz, if the investment pays off with spin offs, which means more tax some of which goes to the Health Dept then that can only be a good thing.
Wonder if the Govt gets its investment money back and a percentage of the profit? Ha ha - fat chance!
I don't think any Govt State, or Federal will ever have enough money to do all that we would want in the Health Sector?? There just ain't that much money in the pot?
