Curly & Beni, this is so politically incorrect. Never assume that everyone is a Christian and celebrates the birth of Christ.
The schools my nephews and nieces (or should that be 'my nieces and nephews') went to had Xmas carols, parades, decorations banned because 'someone may be from another culture and may be offended by the arrogant display of Christianity being forced upon them.'
My children went to a Christian school so there was no problem. And there where students from other cultures and religions there who did join in all the stuff around Christmas at the school.

I so much agree with you on that but some people do want to take offense over the slightest things.
Just my opinion after having had to deal with some of those things.
I bet different religons/ cultures in australia have the main days off as well as their own when they come up 
If they dont believe in the dude whom christmas in aust is celebrated
Why do we not get their holy days off with pay

don’t be like that you should welcome our new friend with an invite to a bbq! We are having pork chops Ali and apple sauce, and a big leg off ham and plenty of salad, but you will have to bring your own alcohol, this is Australia and I am not that rich to supply alcohol for everyone that turns up?
