Don't know any good solutions, I'd be using soapy water to get most of it up then maybe the stains with degreaser, i don't know, it may make the carpet fade.

Take the mat out and turf it, and then with whatever is left soak it up with some old rags. Me thinks you will need a new mat as well.

Will you try a kittle harder? My jack leaked out all over my rear carpet and I don’t have a clue how to get it out now? We are talking light brown to cream carpet behind the drivers seat, as that’s where the jack sits under the rear seat behind the driver,

Well I suppose the car is twelve years old, but until they build a better 4wd I am going to keep her!

jmo maybe keep in mind Nat if you choose useing solvents to clean carpet, fumes may go from boot through to cabin, and certain chemicals might react with oil dunno dunno just a thought if you carry small children or pets around.dancing dog happy place

When I got married the first time, we bought a home unit in Cronulla. Had a great RED carpet which was "oh so lovely."

After being there for 3 months, dark stain started appearing at the front door. Clean it up and then a couple of months later it was back as dark as ever. Clean, clean and gone. And back a few weeks later.

Eventually gave up and recarpeted the place. The underfelt (not that sponge stuff these days but the real underlay) was soaked in oil. Turned out the last owner was the grease monkey and it looked like he did all the grease and oil changes at the front door.doh doh

Soapy water is not enough, almost need to soak in straight detergent and then wash that out. Then again, where you clean it will look so different to the rest. Might as well turf it and find something reasonable from the wreckers.
