Ummm Lilee... perhaps not anymore... not with sunburn and a headache..

I have had insomnia since I can remember! Never could sleep, but since I started work at 15 I have had a few drinks before bed time, it really helped out as most off my life I have had to work nights! So you see what I was up against to start with! I can understand that alcohol induced sleep can be a problem? But if you factor in no sleep at all? That can be a bigger problem! This one time when I didn’t drink after a week off not sleeping I was comatose for two days! Its hard to shut down a mind like mine! I find alcohol safer than what the doctors gave me! Less side effects, and I can control my intake better! You don’t want too be falling asleep driving a truck! During peek hour! Not good for the tourist,
professor doh cheers cheers

Me too off to nightly times! See if I can get some sleep, I think the temp has dropped a little? It was 30deg last night, I think its 20deg tonight, its like working the night shift all over again! Except that its dark outside, when you need to sleep?

Thanks again Merri................i took your advice and challenged the CS Robot to a stare off cool

I almost had 'im too, I swear he was just about to cave (he has a steely stare) when an eyelash fell in to me eye. mumbling

frustrated Damn it, I was sooooooo close.

I agree with you Blizz, night shift would stuff up your body clock. And i never argued with one or two drinkypoos after 5pm if the feeeling takes me. cheers

I will have to remember the vinegar tip Prowler thumbs up Thanks

but I think Lookin' needs to take a few minutes, maybe even go sit on a rock, (preferably not Rockelle shimmy ) even skip a few pebbles across a stream and have a GOOD HARD (rock) think about his obsession with BUM's (o)

My son got badly sunburnt, i put aloe Vera on, pretty yukky, slimy, but works great. As for the sleep, well sometimes nothing works.

And then I usually end up going to bed waking up with nightmareshelp

Have always found reading in bed a good way to relax before sleeping. Empties my mind away from my little everyday problems that would normally keep me awake.

Sometimes a warm drink helps.

Enough grog helps for a short time onlyfrustrated frustrated drinking wine beer cheers doh doh doh Then need to get up often during the night and not go back to sleep.

Never had a problem with having a coffee before going to sleep. And Mum was the same. Both of us slept better with that warm drink inside, but that was ushelp dunno dunno

But a natural way of helping sleep is valarium from Health Food shops. It is a natural relaxant, not a manufactured drug.
