You take a picture with your camera, depending on the camera format setting, if it’s a RAW file (usually 3 mb + in size) you need then to edit those pictures, change its size from RAW to a jpg file format usually the size is reduced to an acceptable upload size between 75 kb and max 500 kb. RAW file format contains millions of bites:
1 byte = 8 bits
1 KiB = 1,024 bytes
1 MiB = 1,048,576 bytes
1 GiB = 1,073,741,824 bytes
1 TiB = 1,099,511,627,776 bytes
I use free Google Picasa programs “Export” function, which strips excess unneeded data out of the file, one-reason professionals use RAW format is so the picture contains enough information for commercial editing and printing. You can download Google Picasa program from this address:


Anyway its important to not use up heaps and heaps of internet access data file transfer, that alone cost lots of money to upload, viewers data usage and space taken up on the server where it is later stored.
