Don't we all love great singing? But without the magical touch of the sound engineer they might not sound quite as good, as the following video shows rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

Very funny. Slightly? exaggerated of course. The first one was an example of reverse engineering.

Can I ask what the deal is with the bit.ly link? Then there are others theat show up as tinyurl. Is this some sort of system to "hide" the origin of a link or is it more about shortening the link to a more manageable length? This is the first time I have noticed that the link you click on is not the address it goes to. And how do you achieve that? confused

There are a number of URL shortening services you can use. The purpose is in the name: "shortening". Some forums don't display long URLs correctly and when you click on the truncated link it takes you to nowhere. Therefore, it is always safer to just shorten long URLs by default.

And how many performers would not be able to "perform" without the sound engineers backing them up? Not being one to sit through those "talent" shows now being broadcasted on tv, the ads for them have highlighted how much talent is really out there.

The Scottish woman Boyle is a good example. After winning the English talent show and looking (as Lookin would say) "like a hat full of arseholes," they had to do major make-overs for her to be presentable on tv.

Wasn't there a song about "Video killing the radio stars?"

LOL. Boyle didn't even get the pitch right at times. She became famous because of the very well produced and marketed video. She had a nice voice though...
