That sounds horrible Snags. No one should have to put up with that at work. That is now the third incident in just a short time and this could lead to problem s for you. Ie PSD. You seriously need to find another job or take some time off.

Hey Snags and PrOwLeR,

Wow, what horrible things to happen, just for going to work!

I think that this is indicative of a society where discipline and morals were thrown out in our school system.

We are heading down the path in education as England is. There a female teacher that I know what hospitalised by a year 5 student who broke her ribs, gave her concussion, and multiple other injuries.

What happened to the student? Nothing. Children over there have no consequences that has any real value to it.

Suspensions only reward unruly behaviour because often the kid does not want to be at school in the first place, and the parents give him or her money or gifts to keep them busy.

Bring back the cane I reckon.

Still, this then goes all the way to the top, where because of the "civil libertarians", we are not allowed to properly punish people for such criminal behaviour.

Our courts are instructed by the politicians not to sentence people to jail because it costs too much to keep them there, so these people get out in no time at all.

I really believe that for some, a good public flogging would sort them out.

It couldn't be any worse that it is now, where innocent people just doing a job cop the stuff that you guys have, with virtually no real or lasting consequence against them.

What is Australian justice coming to?

Well it's fricken not on mumbling and if that's the case I'd be suggesting our young friend starts checking out a new job soonish ..

The kind of crap she's been copping is just going to keep happening and she has not only herself, but her family to think of.

It's just NOT WORTH IT!!

If she needs the job serene then she is stuck ... I feel for her BiG time ... and yes it is very ... very wrong she has to endure this and live in fear, whilst being at work ...

Of course she needs to work, we all do conversing and it's always better to look for work when you're already working..

She's young, talented and her skills would be easily transferrable thumbs up

perhaps you'd prefer this sort of thing to happen

he was selling coffee on the side of the road and refused credit so they tortured him then next day in front of his mother shot him

where do you draw the line?

i'd suggest love families should include the long tested love, cherish and obey, but that'd go over the top of the heads of most people today

Hi Snaggswave

I reckon that your cruise is way over due... and with that stuff that is happening for you at your work...

No... its not acceptable...

Safe work place is what the govt. promotes... and I think you need to suggest that to your employer..

I hope you have a duress alarm somewhere. ??

I might assess my life when I go away on holiday, until then, it is business as usual. I don't really know what else I would want to do. I love my job, I love my customers, I love my bosses. I have great flexibility where I am, I have full reign of the place. If I say jump, my employers say how high!! laugh I don't imagine that I would have what I have now if I left and went elsewhere.

And how much money do employers have to spend/lose in the chance that something may happen? You could take every step imaginable to prevent things happening but if someone wants it bad enough, they will make it happen.

We pay a security guard 7 nights a week, imagine the expense. It is a small business, might as well close the doors. You put an extra person in the store, they bring an accomplice, they bring a gun instead of a knife. We already have sophisticated video surveillance with back to base alarm monitoring, we have personal alarms and since the last hold up, an electric snibbed door has been installed that is activated from the counter to allow us to let who we want in. I don't allow people with helmets, hats, hoodies or sunglasses on in unless they remove them, balaclavas being a given, lol. We contemplated installing bars around the counter area but that was going to be a logistical nightmare to work around. My job is hands on, I need to be out with my customers, not caged up like a monkey. Our efforts and my own vigilance in safety and prevention have been the reason these people have been caught. Of the 5 armed hold ups this guy was charged with, our store was the only one with useable video surveillance.

My employers care. They love me and have been physically sick when anything has happened. They have rushed to the scene every time, keep calling me to make sure I am ok. Gave me full reign to get done whatever I felt needed to be done for our safety. I think they fare worse than I do in these circumstances.

They even brought me dinner tonight, haha.

I don't get told that by anyone really, most people find it pretty disgusting and some customers have hung around for a chat because they are not comfortable leaving me alone, haha. Some to the point of annoyance. laugh I would like to pay some of these people a visit at their own work and give them a little payback so they know what it is like, haha.
