Samsung had to pay Apple $1 billion dollars in fines, but the courts didnt stipulate how the monies had to be paid....

Well even before I went searching for the origin of the story to see if it was a hoax, I could "feel" that it wasn't possible.
I just did some calculations to prove it:
$1bn x 20 5c pieces to a dollar
20 x 10^9 pcs
Let's estimate that a 5c piece weighs 10g?
hence 200 x 10^9 g
divide by 1,000,000 to get tonnes
ie 200 x 10^3 t
there were supposedly 30 trucks?
200,000t / 30 = 6667 tonnes per truck.

Huge trucks or what?
Are there even that many nickels in circulation in the US? There's another research project.
