Was reading about Rupert Murdoch's divorce from his 3rd wifey Wendy Deng. I mean there is only a 38 year gap wonder if the age thingy is the reason for the split or just his millions dunno either way she sure will be set up for the rest of her life and unlike her hubby she sure has a few extra years over him to enjoy the good life wine

Just wondering what other peoples opinion's on this is confused

Does such an age gap really matter he's 82 she is 44 they married in 1999 14 years ago.

You wouldn't believe it I was only last week talking with one of my oldies about old guys marrying much younger women and we talked about Murdoch and his young wife - next thing, its in the news, they are getting divorced! doh

Think we put the mockers on them. confused

Note, it wasn't reported in HIS newspapers.

He would have to have billions for me to sleep with him, looks ET's grandfather. barf

Whatever the reason, no matter how much money she walks away with or he parts with, there is the human side. Feelings, a sense of loss, pain that its happened all over again - loneliness. No matter how we see them, they are human beings who manage matters better than most and they have similar issues as do all of us.
I'm not sure about my body's rate of decline into my 80's but I can't imagine not being "active". Therefore, assuming that it does decline how would that affect a physical relationship, particularly for a woman who doesn't turn off well past 70? At 44 she may be very lonely, could it be that simple?
Whatever it is people have to continue on their passage.

they probably didn't sleep together. I don't think when there is such an age gap, there is an if an affair happens, but more like when an affair happens.....

I'm pretty sure that she didn't marry him for his masculinity in the first place. So her divorcing him and taking a few million bucks doesn't surprise me either.....

I think if I have read the news reports correctly he is the one filing and she did not know he was going to do it. And in my experience most men do not stop being "active" with age it does not seem if the bloke is physically and mentally healthy that it makes a lot of difference except to say that he may be a little more experienced.
