Is money energy?
Can you grow it if you choose?

I guess a lot of people would agree that if you had a negative, pessimistic attitude in all aspects of your life, chances are money will flow out, not in. Maybe.

The trouble with all these gurus like Byrne, Proctor, Vitale, Virtue, etc, is that they seem to be the only ones getting rich using the methods they espouse. And anyone whose riches, sportscars, wonderful partners, etc, don't materialise just isn't doing it right. They harbour negative thoughts, or they have let others sow seeds of doubt in their minds.
quote:
""the law of attraction, which decrees that thoughts have physical power, and that thinking about something is the way to get it. If you want to stay poor, keep obsessing about your poverty; if you want to be rich, imagine yourself rich.""

I agree it is great to be optimistic, and I'm the first to admit that I can be pessimistic or negative, but seriously, I think "thanking the universe for your blessings" is well...... I won't say anymore at the risk of offending or bursting someone's affirmation buuble.

Obs, all I can say is that 'wealth' isn't necessarily about money for many people.

Yeah, in the Western world we need to earn X amount of dollars to keep a roof over our heads, yada yada, but to me, the best things in life are free.

Yes, I agree. And I can see how this optimism/positivity thing would make you feel happier and more content. But you have to believe it before it will work. And I have a real problem with belief (also called "faith"). People have asked me to believe all sorts of stuff, which when viewed objectively turns out to be crap and/or it conflicts with what the next person/guru/best-seller-self help book or course want you to believe.
"You must learn to trust"

reolvine420: trust urself

Well that doesn't hold water either. If you can fool yourself into thinking that you are trustworthy then fine, it will probably make you happier. But lets face we all make mistakes, I certainly have made plenty, so, objectively you'd have to say, only trust yourself with reservations.

I agree Obs, trust yourself with reservations and also give others the benefit of the doubt until they break your trust but always keep your eyes and ears open. Jmo. conversing
