It does take time to settle into a new life. I have had 4/5 months to look at this.

I do not have that routine of having to get up when the alarm goes off each morning for "another day of work day."

I can put off until tomorrow doing that chore.

What I did enjoy last night was having a meal for half price because I now have a Seniors Card.tongue cheering applause frustrated
Trouble is that I had to travel 50kms to enjoy that dinner while I had only travelled 16kms the week before.dunno

We make our own life-choices. I have made mine and accept that what I have done is better for me. Every morning I wake up means I have made my right choice. Every day is a new day. I do look forward to them where I only have me to answer to for what I will or not do.cheering banana help

Yes I can understand and appreciate that wash conversing

I've had nearly 3 months off work now, with my knee injury, and while I do have to answer to Centrelink lol, it's only in the last week or two that I've stopped adhering to a routine?

You know the one, watching the clock, thinking I have to do this at this time and that at at that conversing

justjim63: I'm retired now and initially I was like a fish out of water, I used to judge my self worth by my job, and when I no longer worked I felt useless, like I wasn't contributing.
But I shrugged that off and took the view that i'm very fortunate to have what I have and all the time in the world to enjoy myself, plus having a guaranteed income for the rest of my life certainly helps.
Enjoy Your retirement Wash, it's time You've bought with years of hard work.

ok rub it in blues i've still got 15years to go crying

Was at a Land Rover Defender Day today. Mate and I have both done the same thing this year, had a dummy spit and said "enough is enough."

Then he has a go at me for finally buying a Defender after knocking the limited space for my long legs. Managed to have a couple of decent drives of one last year out in the desert. I just fit.

Then I asked him about his Series 3 Land Rover. "Have you done anything to it?" "Yeah, let it get more rust in the chassis."

Might be heading out your way this coming week for something to do. But it is a bit hard planning ahead. So many things to do these days.

Not sure which day I will be washing my hair.rolling on the floor laughing
