AgentAjax: 4 day working week.

My son-in-law is a hospital theatre technician. He worked at Melb Royal Womens and worked 5 days a week on rotating shifts, including nights. Moved to Cabrini Private and it was 4 days a week. Left there for Frankston Public because it was down the road, 5 day rotating shifts, including nights, and often short of staff.

Has just left there, about to start at another private hospital, 4 days a week plus "on-call" every so often They pay for his mileage and any tolls plus fully catered lunches...put your order in the day before if you want steak, roast, etc. Sambos every day if you want. "On-call" is worth $50 just to be available plus paid at overtime rates.

I know many people who work 3 or 4 days a week. And a few of the job offers coming my way are telling me I can name the days I work.

I keep telling them that at the moment, I am not willing to work on days that end in "Y"rolling on the floor laughing

Good one wash thumbs up thumbs up thumbs up

I would go one further - if we can end all wars and re-direct that money to medical facilities, medical aid what a positive difference that would make especially to 'third world' countries that should not be spending billions of dollars on arms, space race, nuclear arms whatever??

Look after your people! teddybear teddybear teddybear
