Cash only, trust me. They can go to a bank withdraw it and hand it to you. Dont take anything else. Then you can go to the bank and dpeosit it. If they want the car, they will do it.

Even with a cheque, it has always been "Pass it over and once my bank clears it, you can have the keys." With internet transfers, if you have a "Woolies" pre-paid credit card to deposit the transfer on, you can transfer the money out before they pick up the car.

Although from a buyer's point of view, it might also be a scam. I am a "cash" person. I prefer to pay and receive without delays or any other sort of problem. And often, there is a discount for cash up front

even bank cheques can be forged , i buy and sell cars all the time , if you get an sms 90% of the time they are tyre kickers , if they call , they are genuinely interested 70% of the time. NEVER let a " shipping agent " come into the conversation , or anyone on an offshore oil rig. Always ask for a phone number so you can call them to talk if you think its a scam , if its not an 02 etc area code , or not a 0401 etc aussie mobile prefix dont bother calling , it might cost you $20 per second.
