Our thoughts should all be on the people this week affected by bushfire in South Australia and Victoria . Last week it was West Australia !!

And finally that this heat wave ends tonight please !!

Watched the "internet advised" temp drop from 42 to 31, but breeze dropped and now 36....35 as I write.

I am lucky because I installed decent air-con when I could afford it. My daughter suffered power failure yesterday and her pets suffered greatly - I am looking after the 8yo (ancient) Guinea Pig because I have lots of cooler shade in my place and can give her ice bricks and cold lettuce throughout the day.

Many more people are suffering from the heat than the bushfires.

Son-in-law was working in surgery yesterday where the air-cons could not really cope, temps about 10-15 degs above normal surgery temps. Do the surgeons operate or not? They cancelled a few but did what they could under the circumstances.

Many people are still going to see the tennis in Melb, and many are still suffering from the heat .... "I paid for this ticket...WTF?

and let's not forget our FARMERS, as this heat is taking a toll on them as well...
