I add finely diced carrot and mushrooms to my spag bog, and a richer version has finely diced bacon. Add extra basil and oregano to taste

Very creative Jem. wave

When I was in my teens my sister and I used to 'create' our outfits for the weekend!

I knew how to layout a pattern and adjust it and she had worked in a sewing factory making jeans and other stuff so she was a whizz with the machine!! We bought material on our local market stalls at bargain prices.

Together we had something new, unique and different to wear every weekend at a fraction of the price we saw in the shops. thumbs up

Wish I could do it now. confused

thanks serene and Newy

I love to craft and create, just havent done much since developing carpal tunnel 2 years ago.

Hoping that I might be able to start again as my hands seem to be a bit better now

Newy, sewing is fun, glad you had that experience. Mum always tells stories of having to sew her sister into outfits to go out as my Aunt didnt have the time to put in a zip, she was always too busy getting the dress so she could wear it!

I've decided to make some unique accessories for winter conversing

Right now I'm working on a hat, draughted the pattern from one I already have and it's in a fine knit tip hat

Have a design rolling around in my head for a bag too, something sparky, colourful and interesting .. in the planning process right now.

Saw a nice chunky cabled scarf pattern on PinIt, tweaked it a bit and have that going alongside the hat project, think my son-in-law would look a bit fabulous in that hmmm

Love my bacon & egg sambos when I go on my road trips. But when at home, I do miss them. So......

Bacon and eggs on open toast with grated cheese and spring onions or semi-dried tomatoes.
