I have 8 9 clocks that need to be adjusted whenever daylight savings changes. Glad I don't have a watch that I use. I don't have to do it on one of my vehicles as for some reason it has the standard-installed clock and one on the stereo.

Best excuse for arriving latebanana

I know. Can't believe it is still dark at 7am. Had to look it up...next Sunday.

Don't understand why it is so late this year. I know in previous years it was delayed because we had the Grand Prix in Melb but this is ridiculous. Almost as bad as Easter being near the end of April.

Would u believe the siren at work is now on pre daylight savings as of Monday !!Or maybe sunday !!
The siren starts the day ends the day signals smoko time lunch etc !
We have a few different starting times etc etc .
So now we don't get a siren accept at lunch unless u goto lunch at 1pm no siren !!

And yes management likes a siren so the employees don't waste time getting back to work !! Unless your a smoko and a 10 minute smoko is about 20 and team leaders take the same !!

Oh this coming Monday it will be 2 hours different that's happened before

Okay, 3 clocks in 2 vehicles, 1 in garage, 1 in lounge from Venice plus 1 wooden, 1 in hallway, 1 in bedroom, 3 in kitchen (wallclock, microwave & oven, plus you could add the computer and phone. And I found a travelling clock the other day but the batteries are flat.

And there are a few watches around but I don't bother wearing them so they aren't going.

Only the hallway one is load (echoes through timber wall) so I don't bother putting the battery in that one.

Is Vic still trying to get "one-up" on NSW by extending it further?

That means we changed before NSW as they change at 3am to 2am. That rivalry still persists.

When I was in NSW, they could not accept that Vic had some practices which were better than the ones they had developed on their own.

When I moved to Vic, it was "We can't use NSW outdated ideas, we have developed something better."

NSW introduced reduced part-time speed limits around schools during school start & finish times in 1993. Victoria introduced them in 2004 but made them permanent 40km/hr zones. And then don't bother to remove them after a school closes. (This should be on another thread)

since our change over I have 5 and a half days rain ,fog to low levels ,drifting mist that will follow you inside . Too miserable so far for mushrooms even . A nice dry (bit too dry) autumn with days getting shorter has changed to a drab , damp oncoming winter with the dark hitting very early on account of the cloud , roll on spring .

Same here. I was going to dig up the potatoes on Sunday but looked like they needed a couple of days more to finish. So Monday rain and not looking at stopping until next week sometime.
