Need the money to get my fiancé from P.N.G
I have a friend in Brazil who wants me to go and visit her,
and I'm hesitant about the dam airfare, 5000 for a direct flight
or 3200 for a 28 hour flight with stop overs
plus hotel costs,, I think,,,up to 200 for a few weeks,

I'm currently working for my mate as a brickies labourer, but it will take me another 4 or so months to save that amount.
I will be mining gold in New Guinea and should make a quick 100,000 or so....

Nah mate, I'm speaking the truth...She is the daughter of a tribal chief and is back in her village, I am a gold miner, horticulturist, tour guide, fishing guide, builder, artist.....I could go on and on, I am a very spiritual person and don't rip people off........ I don't expect to get anywhere with this, more of a joke than anything....But it's a serious situation.
how come 10,000 is that the cost of spouses visa?
Just need that much in case anything goes wrong and we can go and check an isolated area for gold which her cousin is the son of the chief. He wants me to help him extract the gold without destroying the environment like a large mining company would.
Still havn't done all the research on visa's and marriage yet, but I am the process. My fiancé is currently building us a native style bungalow on her traditional land which we will stay in whilst in New Guinea....... I can't wait...

Once knew a guy from Mt Hagon who was the son of a tribal chief. He ended up very high in the Commonwealth Bank (PNG) and later their national bank. Back in the mid 70s, he got married to someone from a neighbouring village/tribe and she came with a very large dowry, by their standards. Trying to remember what it was (old timers is not working so good today) ---- something like 10 pigs, 3 cassowaries, numerous woven baskets woven trays and bilums (carry bags).
He came down to visit us not long after and presented mum & me with some trays and bilums. My brother now has the the 2 trays while I have the 2 bilums. My bilum was very traditional but mum's was very special as it has seashells attached. Mt Hagon is in the middle of PNG and very high up in the mountains, a long way from the ocean.
I use mine when I go away as it it expands and I can fit in my toiletries and change of clothes when I hit the showers in a public place.
mmm..... she's weaving me and my cousin a billam as we speak. The guy I work with is half cast New Guinian and knows the current Prime minister of New Guinea.
I've almost secured the funds I need and will proceed North, nothing fazes me anymore, maybe I will be high up in the New Guinea government one day, like my grandfather before me whom was one of 4 men who could shut down the worlds economy during WW2.
