You and your friends have picked a charity to support for the next 12 months. One of the events is a dinner. You have all decided to invite one A listed person. Who would you invite and why do you think ordinary people would pay to come and see them eat and talk?

welcome to the forums , not seen you on before . Well sure would not be a politician or a media creation . That guy running the Aussi army year or to back might be a good listen . Funny thing I have found the people that you cant get to talk have the more interesting stories .

Lookin4missright: hoo's Bob Wilson!!
Arsenal goal keeper from years ago.
He was a guest speaker at a function I went to in England, someone told him I was a fan so we talked, did the picture thing, smiled over breakfast the next morning...

Hey Forty and welcome
I think David Attenborough could be a drawcard, he's well-loved by people across the world for his love of nature and concern for the environment plus he's a very interesting and engaging personality

But secretly I would love to invite Alain de Botton, philosopher, who is also hugely popular .. I could listen to him speak for the rest of my life
Maybe I'll just pay the 20 grand and have him all to myself

Captain Paul Watson from Greenpeace who was instrumental in getting the Japanese whalers to the Hague.
Think he has had an interesting life and is someone who has stood by his convictions and made it his goal in life to stop the Japanese 'research' whaling ships.

Hello and Thanks for the welcome. I think the dinners so far for charity are going to be so well supported across so many areas. What a buzz would be in the room if all these people were present at once!!!
