KNenagh: I just like to be able to meet up with someone whenever it suits both of us, spend as much time as possible with each other etc. I think seeing someone a couple of times a year in a holiday situation doesn't give the right impression.
Also, I decided for me that I wouldn't want to be financially dependent on someone and it mightn't be that easy to get a job in another country and I just wouldn't move in with someone I don't know that well and having to rely on him. I wouldn't offer something like that to a guy I don't know that well either (different if my partner I'm with for a while gets on trouble of course).
It takes time to get to know someone and to see if 2 people are compatible. I also would like the have the option to say "no" if I can't see it working - difficult if one person is dependent on the other.

At least Kev07 did try to put some thoughts into his actions. Shame his party did not support..................

The crash landing in reality doesn't look that pretty.
In Germany, a lot of guys looking for women abroad can't find a woman locally or want someone "submissive". As long as there are women who are happier with a treatment like that than living in poverty, marriages like this will happen.
I honestly don't know how much romance features in these cases and I it's none of my business. I know that it wouldn't be for me. I don't know on this site, it seems to have worked and if both see each other as "equal", I don't see why it couldn't work.
