wash2u: I still remember seeing Bo Diddley at Sydney Showground in the 70s. And the song sung with very much gusto by all of the crowd was
"My Ding-a-Ling."

And I do remember mum & dad forcing us to eat our dinner sitting on the floor while 6 O'CLOCK ROCK with Johnny O'Keefe was on TV. I think that was Hot Dogs for dinner that night of the week.

wash2u: Many years ago (it was because I was living in Sydney at the time) I came across a document that provided explanations to the correct use and the context for the F-word. It was very enlightening on how versatile the word is in todays modern language.

BUT (there had to be one, didn't there?) do you know the proper meaning of the word?

wash2u: This particular Magistrate had to deal with a lot of the Family Law aspects for Cairns and area and this solicitor would argue against and say anything and everything as long as it looked better for his female clients. "He worked and gave her money for her drug habit. If he didn't give her money, she would be depriving her 6 children of food, clothing and shelter. He should continue giving her umpteen dollars every week to support her habit. And a bit more so those wonderful children he fathered but no longer is allowed to see sees can have food and clothing."

Apparently, a few of his antagonists had threatened to sue him for libel until this Magistrate had to point out that Family Law matters were "Closed Court" and could not be taken elsewhere because the children would be named....something he disagreed on (the suing) but had to uphold to the letter of the law.
