2 things before I get lost listening to the music.

1. The singer from Smash Mouth (I'm a Believer) looks a lot like Capt Kirk (original)....is this his son/grandson??

2. Brian Kadd I saw about 5 years ago and he had a lot of grey in his hair. Looking at these videos, I reckon he must be the father/grandfather of the guy in Hangover & Hangerover 2.

Middle of the Road doing "Chirpy Chirpy Cheep."

The Groop doing their stuff (had forgotten they were a Melbourne band).

Brings back the days when the poor techno stuff meant that the people really had to know how to sing and play.

Not long after I moved to Melbourne, the radio station my wife of the time listened to played "Who Let the Dogs Out." She had never heard it (okay, she played the golden oldies stuff from the 70s). I laughed as it had been quite popular in Sydeney, especially at the Singles Nights.wow

I was recently posted into an fb link where one of those talent quests such as "I'm the next Idol" had a woman singing "Ken Lee.". This is one video that has to be seen all the way through to be really appreciated.

Hope I got it right. It was the Bugarian Musical Idol version (she is dressed in Red) I was thinking of.

And "Who Let the Dogs Out" was not the one I was thinking of...it was not rap/crap. But yeah, general idea.

Did love listening to Chirpy Chirpy Cheep again (and again and again). Love these songs where the performers enjoy their own performance. I have seen a bit on fb where a singer who won some talent quest is copping so much for her Woolies advert. Okay, she has no lip-synch skills (or the techos are so incompetant) but she does smile all the way through...could be because of what she has been paid or she is just enjoying herself.

There was 1 reference on fb page regarding Kylie M (not Ken Lee). I was never a fan of the tv series (and not a fan of her singing) but did so much love seeing her (Kylie) doing "Locomotion" as she seemed to enjoy doing it so much. Originally done by Little Eva 1962 (#1 - Carole King can be heard among the backing singers), Grand Funk Railway (1974 - #1) & then Kylie M (1988 - #3) to manage a song in America's Top 5 three times in different decades.

Just spent a pleasant couple of hours starting with Kylie's Locomotion before Little Eva's Loco-Motion and then just continually clicking on something else at the end of each song.

Even had Martha & The Vandels singing "Dancing in The Street" although I have always loved the Jagger/Bowie version.

ps, the Ken Lee version #2 is the one I saw.
