Any of our armed forces i ever met serving in Vietnam, went there to stop the spread of Communism before we had to down here. Had nothing to do with christianity, nothing.
The French spent over 100 years trying to push there shit on the Vietnamese so it doesn't surprise me to possibility of 3000 Aussie and Kiwi veterans bothered the Vietnamese, probably for the same reason i didn't pay sub to Vietnam Vet Association who have put +x on the badge insulting pricks, stealing the service of those that went to war to stop communism is typical sort of stupidity that clearly confused most the Vets trying to visit the battle site, confused people.

Battle of Long Tan commander Harry Smith has sympathised with Vietnamese sensitivity over the 50th anniversary service, saying Australians would be "up in arms" if Japan wanted to commemorate the bombing of Darwin.

I agree with him . Big mouth Aussie media ought to STFU at times . I think that the memorial on site , only one in VN apart from a French one , is quite an honour . Slimeballs wanting to sell news papers have a lot to answer for .

I guess the beat up was to impress the Veterans in proposing someone somebody actually gives a shit about there well being, other than seen to be supportive...bla bla
I'm concerned that the reasoning behind our involvement in the conflict committed to in 1954 has been hijacked in the name of a silly utterly flawed religion, the reasoning has not been publicly associated to the containment of communism. In turn that has lead to the pigs in the trough selling out our security to the Chinese.

Only last couple days mentioned on TV Chinese government has a 200 year lease on a power supply to aussie state (think was SA) here in Australia, then there is also among other most of the wharf's, of course other communist held assets in Australia and probably NZ to.

The greedy clearly cannot help themselves, had they acknowledged in there pea brains why the war was fought, perhaps they wouldn't be engaged in treason to the extent they are...as for the veterans most wouldn't have a clue what's what in relation to what actually occurred before, during and after there service outside there own little thought bubble or they wouldn't be pouring shit on others veterans service

they are in trouble over here to, they have stopped some acquisitions, think mr chang got to purchase the largest cotton farm before someone put a cap governed by $$ size, I dunno about dairy companies like Fontera, guess you probably know if any of that is in nz or au hands, of course they own all power polls over here, f*** knows what else, lease most of the sea-ports...
I remember the yanks discrediting Mr Fontera ways back, like they did to Greece and Crete, nothing surprise me anymore.

The Chinese Constitution demands its defence force protects not only state owned interests, but the interests of any chinese person as well, they are sworn to bring down capitalism but you can bet it wont be Turnbull's, or Dudds interests president of china would have to start using toilet paper if he removed the likes of them

Australia just might get lucky break out'a contract

Sydney (AFP) - French defence contractor DCNS has been hit by a massive leak of secret data on its submarines likely to alarm India, Malaysia and Chile which use the boats, The Australian newspaper reported Wednesday.

The leak could trigger concern in Australia, which in April awarded DCNS a Aus$50 billion (US$38 billion) contract to design and build its next generation of submarines.

Until now, the Soryu submarine and its unique technology have been a closely guarded state secret.

But the Japanese navy, or the Maritime Self Defence Forces as they are known, gave North Asia correspondent Matthew Carney an exclusive look at the Soryu at the Yokosuka Naval base on the outskirts of Tokyo.

Many believe the Soryu is best conventional submarine in the world and should be the leading contender to replace the Collins class submarines.

The Japanese are now in a race with the Germans and the French to win Australia's biggest ever defence contract worth nearly $50 billion.
