I live in the Mediterranean, I think the best place to live in the EU is Malta. It's a small country with high standard of living, but compared with mainland Europe here life is not that expensive.
amelia7: I like the Mediterranean area, especially Italy and Greece. Hope to live there in another couple of years. I'll be spending this summer in Greece.

For me Malta is the best place to live in Europe
as for weather/climate - We do not that harsh winter as in mainland Europe. It is sunny practically all year round.
People are very friendly and helpfull.
We have loads of historical places going back to the knights.
The economy is sound thanks for the government who always believed that Malta should be part of the European Union.
As for quality of life - Poverty here does not exist.

to have cold winter, warm spring, hot summer and windy Autumn ...to have wavy sea, green forest, peace , and freedom.. Its the best place in the world!
